McDermott said during the AMC Networks Summit that spin-offs set to expand Walker’s Apocalypse World “will satisfy core audiences and bring in new audiences.” The network chief added the cable channel and broadcaster AMC+ will focus on keeping the long-running franchise from feeling “too familiar” to viewers.
Include previous pop-ups The Walking Dead: The World Beyonda two-season limited-edition series that concluded in 2021, and a six-episode anthology series Tales of the walking dead. It’s unclear if the episodic anthology will return for a second season.
Also back in 2023 is Fear of walking dead. After meeting in the finale of Season 7, new season teams Morgan Jones (Lennie James) and Madison Clark (Kim Dickens) are on a mission to PADRE.
